How To Improve your Credibility And Gain More Sales Newcomers to the world of internet marketing find it very difficult to get their first few sales. This is largely due to an apparent lack of credibility in the eyes of the customer.

Let's face it you are completely unknown, why should they trust you? Your first major hurdle to cross is that of improving your reputation and credibility. One way of improving your credibility is to become well known amongst those members of the internet community that frequent your market niche.

There are other relatively simple things related to your website which also have a huge impact on your credibility. The following points all contribute in some way to the first impression your website creates in the minds of your customers and they all go a long way to establishing or destroying your credibility... 1) Nothing destroys your credibility quicker than if you use unprofessional graphics on your website. That first impression created by your website is incredibly important and it does not take much to turn a seemingly terrible graphic into something that looks neat, clean and professional, but if you don't have the ability to modify the graphics yourself, either find suitable free graphics on the internet or hire a graphic artist to do the work for you.

2) Use full contact details on your website. People feel a lot more comfortable when they are dealing with a real person, and not a "front" for a money making scam. Use your full business address on your website, not a P.O.

Box. People like to know that you will respond to their requests for help, so put their minds at rest by also including your business, and mobile phone numbers. Make sure you use an answering service for those periods when you are unable to answer your phone. 3) Don't leave your email address on your website; it will be harvested by spam bots.

Use a "Help Desk" system... Your customers have to register first and then create a support ticket. They immediately get an automated response explaining that their customer service issue is logged, gives them a tracking ticket number and explains that a customer service representative will respond shortly.

This appears very professional to a customer and greatly increases your credibility. 4) Nobody likes to wait for an answer regardless of the circumstances, so include a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) on your web site.

Many customer service issues happen more than once and by supplying the solution to a problem on a FAQ mean your customer gets the answer to their problems immediately. Every time you get a new customer service issue, add it to your FAQ, that's one less issue you'll have to deal with in the future. One spin off from having a comprehensive FAQ is your credibility increases because you've dealt with all those issues (or at least thought about them) in the past.

There are also a number of "off site" issues which greatly affect your credibility... 1) Not responding to customer service issues is a pretty quick way to destroy your credibility. Many people won't buy directly from the sales page and will have questions about your product or service that they want answers to before they consent to the purchase. Delay your reply to them and you loose the sale.

Many customers may have a problem with the sale itself and if you don't reply quickly, they will ask for a refund, and what's worse is they will never buy from you again. 2) A very good credibility building task is writing articles related to your website's theme or topic. Submit these articles to as many article directories and ezine editors as you can, the more the better. Your articles will be included in many different ezines and newsletters and will also be included as website content.

Hundreds, if not thousands of people will read your articles and over time your reputation and credibility will grow. 3) Participate in web forums or discussion boards as they are also known. Post your own comments, answer other people's questions, and even ask your own questions, always being honest and truthful.

Never advertise blatantly, rather include a text link under each message you post. People will get to know you the more you post especially if they like what you write. Quite apart from the additional traffic you will get from people clicking on your text link to see what else you have to offer them, your credibility will increase dramatically.

How to Build a Website to Sell Your Niche Product or Service The most effective way to sell your niche product or service is to build a niche mini site, which in its simplest form has only three pages: - A sales page - A payment processing page - A thank you / download / order fulfillment page Let’s take a look at each of these pages: 1) The sales page. This is a carefully constructed web page which gives your visitor two options: either buy your product or leave. Obviously you must do everything in your power to stop your visitor from leaving without buying, and this is where a few sales page basics come into play... Use each of these features in the order they are presented: ~The headline. You need to state a compelling and powerful benefit your customer will receive from owning your product.

~The introduction. Your introduction should explain the problems facing your customers that your product will solve.

You do not mention your product at this point, all you are doing is making your customer feel comfortable because you know and understand their problem and their pain. ~The lead-in to your product. At this point you need to introduce your product. This takes two forms, the first being a visual representation of your product and the second a description of your product and how it solves the problems you outlined earlier.

The visual representation is particularly important if you are selling an e-product (an intangible product that your customer will download onto their computer). The visual representation could be a picture created to look like a physical book or the box that a physical software product would be packaged in. ~Customer testimonials. Customer testimonials are a very potent motivator to somebody who is unsure about your product or service.

After you have introduced your product or service you need to display any testimonials you might have from your satisfied customers. To start with you won't have any testimonials leaving you with two options: - The obvious... Don't include a customer testimonial section.

- Advertise free copies of your product in exchange for testimonials. ~Benefits.

An important part of your sales page is a list of benefits explaining how your customer will benefit from owning your product. These benefits will create the desire for your product.

~The call to action. In this section you will ask your customer to buy your product. You may wish to include a few free bonuses to make your customer feel they are getting a good deal. You might also wish to include some kind of deadline which could motivate an undecided customer to purchase; the thought of loosing out could just tip the balance in your favor.

~Your Guarantee. People are very nervous about buying on the internet, so offering a guarantee will put them at rest. ~The Summary. This is last part of your sales page and where you summarize your offer.

You need to state your major benefit once more and ask the customer to buy. 2) The payment processing page In nearly all cases you have little control over the design of the payment processing page you use. It largely depends on how you process payments for your product or service.

Most payment processors (and all third party payment processors like PayPal, ClickBank etc.) have their own processing pages. You would be given a code to use on your sales page and when a customer clicks the payment button they will be automatically taken to the third party payment processor's page. 3) The thank you / download / order fulfillment page As soon as your customer's purchase has been verified they will be forwarded to your order fulfillment page.

If your customer has never purchased anything online before, it is quite possible this was a traumatic experience. To put their mind at rest and to complete the transaction, your order fulfillment page should: ~Put your customers at ease It is vital that you inform your customer that their payment has been verified before giving them any other information.

Tell them what to expect on their credit/debit card statement. ~Describe how your customer's order will be fulfilled Explain to your customer, in detail, exactly how their order is going to be fulfilled. For offline fulfillment, explain when their purchase is going to be shipped, how it is going to be shipped, and when they can expect delivery.

For online fulfillment, you need to explain how they can download their product. If you have used a compression tool, explain how they can uncompress (unzip) their product.

If you have used a special medium for viewing your product, explain what your customer needs to do in order to view you product, for example most e-books are created as a PDF file and so Adobe Acrobat is needed in order to view them.

A good domain name that describes your product or service gives it credibility, for example www.goldjewlery.com looks professional, is descriptive and easy to remember. Compare that to www.geocities.com/jewelry/gold.html... If you have created a product, don't name it and then try to find a domain name... The trick is to find your domain name first and name your product after it using these brainstorming tips: 1) Conduct keyword research related to your product or service by using these services to see what people are searching for: - http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ - https://adwords.google.com/select/tools.html - http://wordtracker.com 2) List the key benefits your product or service will give to your customer, and because the shorter a domain name is the easier it is to remember, you might want to use single words that imply a benefit.

For example the word "cheap" implies you will save money which is a major benefit. Using a thesaurus will help you find all the synonyms for your words and phrases. 3) Mix and match the words you have researched to come up with a domain that is: - Short. - Easy to spell.

- Easy to pronounce (if it has a rhythm to it and rolls of the tongue, it will be more memorable. If it is difficult to quickly say your domain name out loud, your potential customers will mentally trip over it and not remember it).

- Descriptive. When choosing your sales pulling domain name, pay attention to the following ten tips and you could make (or save) a pile of money: 1) Avoid using trade marked names, it's unethical and could land you in an expensive legal battle. 2) Try and avoid words which have different spellings in other countries such as color and colour, humor and humour. 3) Avoid unnecessary words and keep it simple.

For example, free ezines reads OK as two separate words, but as one in a domain name freeezines.com looks ridiculous and chances are people will omit the third letter 'e' when typing the domain into a browser. The same applies where one word ends and the next starts with the same letter e.g. next topic - nexttopic If you are using a hyphen (dash) to separate words then this is not a problem. 7) In the US a .com domain name will be noticed far quicker than any other domain name.

Perhaps because .com is the oldest extension and therefore the most associated with reputable websites. On the other hand local domain names will get the attention of local surfers.

For example, if you live in the United Kingdom, mydomain.co.uk will get your attention far quicker than mydomain.com because you know it is a UK specific domain name and probably more relevant. 8) People will tend to type a domain name into their browser without dashes.

For example, they will type mywebsite.com instead of my-website.com. A long domain name with dashes is easier to read, but it's more annoying to type into a browser. If you optimize your website for the search engines, having a domain name with dashes has the advantage of making it a little easier for the search engines to understand. 9) Domain names can only contain letters, numbers, and dashes.

Spaces and symbols are not allowed. Don't worry about upper and lower case characters as domain names are not case sensitive. 10) It is not true that most of the short domain names have been taken, thousands of domains expire every day and many of them are not taken up again.

Type the phrase "deleted domains" into any search engine and you will find loads of websites dealing in deleted domains. Try it out and you might find the short sweet sales pulling domain name you were looking for.

An Introduction to Niche Marketing. What's all this hubbub about niche marketing? Why is every successful marketer preaching niche marketing as being vital to your profitability as a marketer online or offline?

In answer to that, let's paint a little picture... Imagine you have an idea for a great product, an idea so great you decide to turn it into a product and sell it. You're going to make millions so you labor away hour after hour creating a masterpiece, well... It’s a masterpiece in your eyes. Hours of feverish activity, a month goes past, then another, and finally the great day arrives when you launch your product. You have a superb product and the best sales website on the internet.
Another month goes buy, then two and... Not one sale! In desperation you hire an experienced marketer for their advice, but what they tell you, crushes you... "You don't stand a snowballs chance in hell of making any sales!" You see you have picked a massive market to sell to; you are competing against big established suppliers who are seen as experts. The market trusts them because they are well known and have great reputations.

It's David against Goliath only David forgot his sling. If this has happened to you, you're not alone. This little scenario plays itself out day after day. Each month thousands of people find themselves in this situation.

Doesn't it infuriate you to see others seemingly doing exactly what you did, but they make money? From their product launch they bank the profits.

Drill all the way down to the tiny segment of Steelhead fishing and there are still avid enthusiasts who will go to any expense to catch the "big one", including buying books or e-books. One point worth noting is that any book or e-book on Steelhead Fishing had better be full of useful advice (i.e. the advice works), so you had better be an expert and know what you're talking about if you intend to write one... Finding niche markets is not as easy or obvious as you might think.

Sitting down with a piece of paper and drawing a tree listing all your ideas is NOT the way to go. You are listing your ideas... your ideas won't sell! You need to find what your potential customers want, and to do this you need to conduct some research, here are a few ideas to get you started:
1) Visit a few online forums related to your interests.
Take note of the questions people are asking and how many times similar questions are asked. 2) Visit a few book stores and go to the magazine section.
Take note of the types of magazines on sale. Ask the sales assistant which magazines sell the most.
3) Take a look on eBay and spend some time going through the categories related to your interest.

Take note of popular items and how often they sell. By finding a small segment of a much larger market in which people are actively buying, and where there are not too many competitors, is the best chance you have of making money from selling your own product.

A Computer and Internet Glossary.

When you use computers and the Internet in your business, it's all too easy to start feeling like you're drowning in a sea of nonsense. Computer-related things tend to have a language all their own, and while you don't need to know all of it, there are many confusing words and phrases that you're going to come across sooner or later. Here's a quick primer.

Bandwidth. Bandwidth is the amount of data that your website can send each second, as well as the amount of data that the visitor to your website can receive. If either one doesn't have enough bandwidth, then the website will appear slowly. For this reason, you should choose a host with plenty of bandwidth, as well as testing that your site doesn't take too long to download on slow connections.

Browser. A browser is the software (see below) that visitors to your site use to view it. The most popular browser is Microsoft's Internet Explorer, which comes with Windows.

Cookie. Cookies are data files that your site can save on the computer of someone who visits that site, to allow it to remember who they are if they return. You will find that problems people have in ordering from you will almost inevitably be related to cookies -- they will need to have them turned on.

Download. Transferring data from a website to a computer.

Favourite. A favourite is a website that a user has stored to look at again, by choosing 'Add to Favourites' in their browser's menu.

FTP. File Transfer Protocol. This is a common method of uploading (see below) files to your website.

Javascript. A common language for writing 'scripts' on websites, which are small programs that make the site more interactive. Another common cause of problems for visitors.

JPEG. Joint Photographic Experts Group. This is the name of the most popular format for pictures on the web, named after the group that came up with it. If you want to put pictures on your website, you should save them as JPEGs.

Hardware. Hardware is computer equipment that physically exists. It is the opposite of software.

Hosting. If you've got a website out there on the Internet, then you'll be paying someone for hosting. It is the service of making your site available for people to see.

HTML. HyperText Markup Language. A kind of code used to indicate how web pages should be displayed, using a system of small 'tags'. The 'b' tag, for example, causes text to appear in bold, and the 'img' tag displays a picture.

Hyperlink. A hyperlink is when a piece of text on a website can be clicked to take you to another site, or another page on the same site. For example, if clicking your email address on your website allows someone to email you, then your email address is a hyperlink.

Programming. This is when the computer is given instructions to tell it what to do, using one of many 'programming languages'. Programming languages for the web include PHP and Perl.

Server. The server is where your website is stored, and it is the server that people are connecting to when they visit the site. If someone tells you, for example, that your server is 'down', it means that your website is inaccessible. Note that server refers both to the hardware and software of this system.

Software. Programs that run on the computer, or that make your website work. Microsoft Word is software, for example, as is Apache (the most popular web server software). Opposite of hardware.

Spider. Don't be scared if a spider visits your website! Spiders are simply programs used by search engines to scan your site and help them decide where it should appear when people search. It is good to be visited by spiders, as it means you should start appearing in search engines soon.

Upload. Uploading is when you transfer data from your own computer to your website. For example, you might upload your logo, or an article you've written. Opposite of download.

URL. Uniform Resource Locator. This is just a short way of saying 'web address', meaning what you have to type in to get to your website. Sometimes pronounced as 'Earl'.

3 Steps To Effectively Increase Your Marketing Response

It's well known that internet marketers are in the business of marketing. To become successful in business, it's crucial to actively promote your business to gain new customers. Let's face it... No promotion, no new customers. It's a simple as that.

If you've ever spent money on advertising before, you will know that it can be a costly process. Whether the cost is measured in time, effort, money or a mixture of all three - the one thing that counts the most is the results. A lack of results from a marketing campaign can be a real disappointment.

More often than not, it is a case of hit-and-miss which leads to frustration and a wasted advertising budget.

This article will explain three steps that you can take to gauge how effective your marketing campaigns are and to rapidly improve the response rates of future campaigns. It also brings to light some relatively unknown tactics that some advertising companies are employing to rip-off their customers. I hope you're not one of those customers... But you might have been already without even realizing it.

Step 1: T&T

You may or may not work out a proper campaign for your promotions, but let me make a suggestion to you if I may? You really should be Tracking and Testing. If you don't know how responsive a particular ad is, how can you possibly gauge the ad's effectiveness? Not by guessing, that's for sure! It is essential that you T&T because this keeps you in control of your earnings.

If your campaigns aren't creating the desired outcome - signups, sales, opt-ins etc., something needs to be changed. By T&T, you can make changes, retest and gauge the results to repeat the process until you do generate the necessary effect and therefore increase your profits.

Step 2: Tweaking

What areas need looking at? Here is a short list of questions you can ask yourself. The answer to these questions should be " Yes". If the answer is "No", then simply tweak the item and T&T to produce a better response.

Ad Copy:

Does it have an eye-catching headline? Is it well written with the correct grammar and punctuation? Have you edited it over and over to create what you'd consider a perfect advertisement? Does it use hypnotic words and phrases that grab the interest of the reader? Does it make the reader want to click through to your web site while pulling out their credit card? If you wouldn't respond to the ad yourself, a rewrite is a must.

Product Demand:

If you truly aim to make sales, your advertising needs to be put in front of the people who will want to purchase your product. Have you carried out or have access to market research data on the product you are offering? If it's a niche-target product, are you targeting the appropriate audience? Have you polled your list or web site visitors to find out what they really want? Feedback is precious and should be taken into serious consideration.

Sales Page:

Does your sales page load quickly? Does it look good to the naked eye without making you frown or close the site in pain? Does it have an eye-catching headline? Does it appeal to the reader's sensibilities and rouse their emotions? Have you used short paragraphs? Have you included bullet point lists? Have you refined the copy over and over again to make it as sharp as possible? Have you made it so there are no unanswered questions for the customer to ask?

Order Page:

Have you included a guarantee that removes the risk taken by the customer? Have you provided several payment options where applicable? Have you made the purchasing process as quick and simple as possible? Have you included your contact details?

Price:

If everything else appears to be set correctly but you're still not receiving the response you need, consider revising the price and T&T. Use a split tester if possible to see which price receives the better response (and it's not always the cheaper price surprisingly). 100 is a good number to use for split-testing. ie: If you're testing two pages, the first to receive 100 responses is the one to adopt.

Step 3: QA

Usually QA stands for Quality Assurance and it still does, but in this instance, it also means Quality Advertising. T&T and Tweaking can be an ongoing process that you continually carry out using free or paid advertising.

There are many forms of advertising available on the internet. Free advertising methods are excellent for T&T because they can illustrate how well an ad pulls through an ezine or solo ad. You can also gauge how effective your sales page is by click-thru statistics in traffic exchanges etc. But for now, let's concentrate on the effective, paid advertising methods. Why? Because paid advertising brings results... Well it should -- but it doesn't always!

It is imperative that you gauge the effectiveness of the advertising vehicle that you are utilizing through T&T. If you don't, you could be throwing your hard-earned dollars straight down the drain.

If you have paid for an advertising campaign through a company and the results are less than you hoped for, you need to look into why the results were dismal. How do you do that? It certainly pays to ask questions and dig deeper to see exactly how your advertisement is being delivered.

In fact, I can save you some time and really open your eyes to some marketing methods that you probably didn't even know existed! These are methods that are being used quite frequently by some online companies who provide traffic and advertising services.

You really need to know about them now so you don't fall into that trap. Most of us have already and didn't even know it, until now...

So what is this technique?

This technique is called free content article marketing or free-reprint article marketing. It is basically writing an article with topics covering your products/services. The main idea of this is to keep your article ratio at 70% quality and useful information/tips to 30% advertisement. The 30% advertisement refers to your bylines or the resource box at the end of each article.

Your bylines or “about the author” content is the key to article marketing. This is the part where you can make yourself as an expert in your field, the part where you can ask readers to visit your site and the part where you can mention what you offer and do.

I already wrote an article, what now?

Is your article optimized?

Optimizing your article is always the first thing to remember. There are lots of ways to optimize an article, but let me share to you mine.

Before writing an article think of a keyword, be sure to include that keyword in your title. Make those search engines love your article by first optimizing your title.

Do not quote your title! Search engines will not like it, for example, “Five Ways to Effectively Market your Product”. Get rid of the quotes!

If possible put the keyword first in your title, for example, European Cruise – You Deserve Only the Best.

When your title is ready, try to spread your keyword several times all over your article. Try to keep a decent keyword density and do not try to spam the search engines.

Do not sacrifice your credibility for optimization. Some authors are fond of inserting dots between words that are considered as spam. Just like the word “free”. If you are trying to sell a product or service make yourself credible and your articles professional.

Ok I’m set! Now what?

Every business needs to know how it is doing. That's the idea behind exit surveys, customer feedback forms, suggestion boxes and other devices. Without feedback from the customer, monitoring inventory, expenses, revenue and other benchmarks, a business can take a quick slide down a slippery slope, without the owner ever seeing it coming – or being able to stop the slide.

Webmasters also have things they should be monitoring on their websites. Most of these can be classified as traffic related or server performance related. Here is my top ten list.

Monitoring website traffic

Traffic totals. You want to know how much traffic you are generating. If the line on the graph is heading down, you know you have to find out why.

Referrers. It's not enough just to know how many visitors you are getting. You need to know where they are coming from. I discovered I was getting a lot of visitors from a Thanksgiving site. They were all being funneled into my Thanksgiving Happiness article. Suddenly I knew I should get more links from other Thanksgiving sites. Valuable information.

Searches. Much to my surprise, my happiness site started getting a ridiculous number of hits from the search for "hairdressers". It just so happens I wrote a humor column on a hairdresser experience. I was surprised to see it getting so much traffic for such a generic, competitive search term. If that had been a term of a little more relevance for me, this information would have lead me to properly optimize the page and get even more traffic.

Pages viewed per visit. If people visit only one page per visit, you have some work to convince them to visit more pages, like those that make you money.

Pages visited. So you threw up on your site something cool as an add-on. How were you to know that other webmasters would link to it and send a whole bunch of traffic your way? Well, now you know, so add some copy to the page to pull visitors into the rest of your site.

Monitoring website performance

Forms. Are they all functioning? A good website monitoring service can keep tabs on them for you. The last thing you want is to have lost hundreds or thousands of subscribers because a sign-up form stopped functioning

Shopping carts. Slow and complicated shopping carts are responsible for an estimated $25 billion in lost sales. Make sure yours is functioning properly. A good website monitoring service can watch this for you, too.

Download speed. Clear your cache and test your pages. Hmm. Maybe those images are a bit large. Time to compress them, or even remove some. Remember that some people are on a much slower connection than you are. I use a satellite connection sometimes, but when I don't, my connection speed is 28K.

The trick to successful time management is setting up goals that work, while having an awareness of those goals and prioritizing your list of goals. When you set up an effective time management plan, you are growing and upholding a personal commitment to yourself, with the ability to be more flexible. When you have a great time management plan, you are giving yourself an individual chance to, to generate a timetable that works to suit your busy caseload. When you create a good plan, you will soon find time to do all the things that matter most to you in life. In addition, when you have a good time management plan, you are saving your health.

Plans have a schedule timed, which includes all the activities you are responsible to handle. Your Master Timetable should include all the most important activities you are responsible to handle. It is important that you modify this schedule according to your time changes. When you set up a Master Timetable, you will need to list the priorities first, and work your way down to the least important tasks. It is important that you follow as you write the tasks first listed. In other words, if you state on your Master Timetable that you need to write up some documents for your business, then do this task first and proceed to the next task.

Try to avoid handling multitasking at once, unless it is your job and you are sufficient, and have laid out a time management plan. You will also need to include meals, sleep, family, friends, yourself, and other tasks if you they are a part of your time management. Most people without a time management plan often suffer with poor health, insomnia, and other discomforting issues. Some people even find themselves in court waiting for the judge to say “You are now divorced.” So you can see that time management is important since it affects everyone around you, but most of all, it affects you.

A final tip: Exercise and eating right plays an essential role to time management, since when you feel good, you work well under a management plan.

Hello and Welcome to my blog, The Niche Critique.

I have been in Internet Marketing on a part time basis for several years, some Ebay and affiliate programs, reseller stuff. Recently I became interested in blogging and Google Adsense. I also have gotten a wonderful mentor who has helped me tremendously. He has helped me to get some new private label products that are mine, and he is teaching me alot. I can't say who it is rigth now, but many of you would recognize his name. In th enear future we are going to come out with a Joint Venture Product, and Ebook and or audio teaching some of the same things he is teaching me about marketing and running a successful onine business.

I want this blog to be helpful and interesting to anyone with a niche in mind to produce information products and software to fill a Niche Market. I will be posting interesting articles on marketing and niche topics and information that I find that will be of use to myself and others.

Whichever you are, for as long as you are a webmaster or a web publisher and you need cash, affiliate marketing may work well for you. With affiliate marketing, you may get a lot of cash pouring into your bank account easily. And if your website is rich in great contents and you want to earn more profit, why not get into the Google Adsense program as well?

Why Affiliate Marketing?

Well, simply because affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to earn profits online, unless otherwise you are a businessman and would rather sell your own products online than advertise other businessman’s products on your site. But even online retailers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs, because affiliate marketing actually works for merchants as well as it works for the affiliates.

Affiliate marketing, simply said, is a relationship or agreement made between two websites, with one site being the merchant’s website and the other being the affiliate’s site. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate’s site. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliate in whatever method they have agreed into. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliate, as he would do nothing but place the retailer’s ad on his site. This would also be very beneficial for the merchant, as getting affiliates to advertise their products would be a lot more affordable than hiring an advertising firm to promote their products.

There are a variety of methods on how the merchant would compensate the affiliate for his services, and for the webmaster, these methods simply translates to the method by which he would earn easy cash. Among the more common methods of compensation are the pay-per-click method, the pay-per-lead method, and the pay-per-sale method. The pay-per-click method is the method most preferred by affiliates, for their site’s visitor would only have to visit the advertiser’s site for them to gain money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are better preferred by merchants, as they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor would actually buy their products.
Getting much profit on affiliate marketing programs, however, does not depend so much on the compensation method is it does on the traffic generated by your site. A website that can attract more visitors would generally have the greater chance of profiting in affiliate marketing programs.

What about Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is actually some sort of an affiliate marketing program. In Google Adsense, Google act as the intermediary between the affiliates and the merchants. The merchant, or the advertiser, would simply sign up with Google and provide the latter with text ads pertaining to their products. These ads, which is actually a link to the advertiser’s website, would then appear on Google searches as well as on the websites owned by the affiliates, or by those webmasters who have signed up with the Google Adsense program.

While one can find a lot of similarities between Google Adsense and other affiliate marketing programs, you can also see a lot of differences. In Google Adsense, all the webmaster has to do is place a code on his website and Google takes care of the rest. The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be advantageous both for you and for the advertiser, as the visitors of your site would more or less be actually interested with the products being advertised.

The Google Adsense program compensates the affiliate in a pay-per-click basis. The advertisers would pay Google a certain amount each time their ad on your site is clicked and Google would then forward this amount to you through checks, although only after Google have deducted their share of the amount. Google Adsense checks are usually delivered monthly. Also, the Google Adsense program provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to monitor the earnings you actually get from a certain ad.

So, where do all of these lead us to?

Where else but to profits, profits and even more profits! Affiliate marketing programs and the Google Adsense program simply work, whether you are the merchant or the affiliate. For the merchant’s side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising effort is concentrated on affiliate marketing rather than on dealing with advertising firms. For the webmaster, you can easily gain a lot of profits just by doing what you do best, and that is by creating websites. And if you combine all your profits from both the Google Adsense program and other affiliate marketing programs, it would surely convert to a large amount of cash.
